Spiralite shells are rare, fossilised left-hand coiled gastrood (sea snail) shells approximately 50-100 million years old. They were found in what was once an ancient sea now located in Central India. The shells have become agatized and lined inside with beautiful Quartz crystal druzy.
Spiralite is said to carry a memory of Earth’s deep history — a link to ancient wisdom.
The spiral shape, common in many “spiral-shell” stones/fossils, is a widely used symbol of growth, evolution, renewal and life’s cyclical nature (birth → death → rebirth). Spiralite reminds us of the natural cycles of life, growth, death, and spiritual renewal.
Because of the Quartz druzy element, Spiralite is attributed with enhancing energy flow and spiritual awareness and helping to connect with higher realms for intuitive insight.
Spiralite is suited for people engaged in healing work, energy work, meditation, channeling, or any practice that involves connecting to spiritual energies. It is also attributed with unlocking latent psychic and empathic abilities.
In ancient Indian, Buddhist and Tibetan beliefs, left coiling shells (in Sanskrit, “Dakshinavarti") historically carried strong auspicious and metaphysical meaning. Because left-spiraling shells are rare, they have often been considered especially powerful or sacred. The rarity is sometimes interpreted as symbolic of rarity in spiritual connection or special energetic significance.
